    These data sets and log files were generated on a best effort basis using the VLA pipeline in AIPS. Please realize that errors can be made in such an automated process.     The rows and columns below describe the following:

    • The first (colored, dated) row, first column lists the date of the observation run for this project; there may be many more than one observing run (e.g., for deeper integrations, different array configurations and/or a monitoring project). Furthermore, there are links to some text files that track the download process of this observing run. The General data log in the second column shows the files downloaded from the archive and the files created for the processing (see below) and their processing information.
      Raw data VLA archive files are downloaded to a local disk and loaded into AIPS with FILLM. FILLM produces an AIPS readable file for each different frequency band, and we also separate them into different bands if the IF pairs are not contiguous. If there is more than one AIPS file in the end, MOVE moves the extra files each to a unique AIPS number, so that the processing can always be done in a known and fixed way, which simplifies the process. The files called run and log, respectively, are the c-shell scripts to invoke the AIPS tasks FILLM (third column) and, if there was more than one file created by FILLM or when splitting IFs, MOVE (last column), and the AIPS output messages from them.
    • All next (non-colored, non dated) rows lists all the observed frequencies for that (above mentioned) observing run (column two), with their calibrated multi-source UV data (uvfits) files and separate calibration tables (clfits, in case you've already downloaded the raw data VLA archive files) in column three. The fourth column gives you access to the c-shell run script and the AIPS output messages log file.

    The table listing should be sorted according to increasing date without an attempt to sort the frequencies per observing run (generally the frequency sorting is according to order of observing during that day).
