VLA Test/Observation Coordination Meeting B.G. Clark June 19, 2003 1. eVLA Antenna 13 is in the Assembly Building for retrofit. Within a few days mechanical work will be complete - the new feed cone structure and the mounting for the new cryogenic compressor. Remaining items are new HVAC system for the vertex room, installaction of the new 48 V DC power system, and general recabling, both for the DC power and for all the fiberoptic transmission. The antenna is expected to move out of the building late next month, ready to have modules installed in it. 2. Antenna 1 pointing K. Sowinski reports that since early May, antenna 1 has very large pointing errors, especially at low elevations, approaching an arcminute. These cannot be fit by adjusting the parameters of the pointing model. Although the antenna received a holography-based surface adjustment in April, this does not seem to be coincident with the start of bad pointing.
