The EVLA Monitor

The EVLA Spectrum Plotting tool provides a graphical representation of the 4 EVLA bandpasses during standard observations. Wide-band IF data at each data formatter is sampled for TBD mS, with the resulting data packet sent through the monitor & control system fiber to the control building for further processing. At the control building, an engineering workstation performs a FFT on the data packet, formats and plots the result. Environmental information (weather conditions, observation code, etc.) is then added to the 1st page of the plot before moving a .pdf formatted version to the web.
